Brad McLean
Brad is a Trustee and current Chair for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospice (EACH), where he has been involved for more than 10 years following bereavement support the family received when their 18-month-old son Stanley died in 2012.
EACH is the only children’s hospice provider in the East Anglia region, with three physical sites in Cambridge, Norwich and Ipswich, providing support to over 550 children and their families annually.
In addition to the overall strategic and governance responsibilities of the Board role Brad also sits on the Finance and Income Generation Committee whose purpose is to review and monitor the annual operational budget – both capital and revenue – and the income generation strategy (fundraising, statutory and retail income), and the HR Committee who monitor the content and delivery of the EACH People Strategy to ensure that it is driven by the overall strategy of the organisation, identifying and considering any necessary amendments and recommending any changes to the Board.
Brad is also General Manager of The Gog Magog Golf Club, near Cambridge, and was a former Chair of the UK Golf Club Managers Association. He moved to the UK from Vancouver in 2004 and lives with his wife and two sons in Norfolk.
