Kirsty Murray

Trustee

Kirsty, a bereaved parent, is Income Generation Manager at Grace Kelly Childhood Cancer Trust and one of our trustees.

After her daughter Ella was diagnosed with Miller Dieker Syndrome – a rare genetic condition – Kirsty left a career in finance to become her full-time carer, managing complex medical needs and navigating frequent hospital stays.

Following her daughter’s death, Kirsty became a family ambassador at Acorns Children Hospice and subsequently involved in Together for Short Lives’ campaigning work, personally delivering to Downing Street a petition calling for increased funding for children’s hospices. This advocacy she says, “sparked a new career direction”, prompting her to pursue a career in fundraising, driven by a desire to give something back in return for the compassionate care she and Ella received.
