Introduction to Spirituality and Children’s Palliative Care

We will explore the distinctives and overlaps between spiritual, religious and cultural needs and care alongside national guidelines.

Led by Rev Dr Paul Nash (Co Lead for the Centre for Paediatric Spiritual Care and previously Chaplaincy and Spiritual Care Lead at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital NHSFT, including community palliative care).

We will explore together the distinctives and overlaps between spiritual, religious and cultural needs and care alongside national guidelines, research, publications, resources and best practice.

We will build confidence towards an integrated spiritual care pathway model for your context. This will include an introduction to Spiritual Play as a multi-disciplinary spiritual assessment and intervention resource.
