This course has been running since February 2022. It is suitable for all members of the MDT working in hospital, community and hospice settings and focuses on palliative care skills which might be needed in ‘acute’ scenarios and aims to give a breadth of ‘basic’ palliative care skills.
It covers managing an expected death, arranging urgent transfer from hospital for end-of-life care, symptom management and use of syringe drivers, management of an acutely unwell child with a life-limiting illness and perinatal management of a baby with a life-limiting illness.
