Virtual forum for helpline providers

We are holding a virtual meeting to connect our charity member organisations that run helplines to provide listening support and signposting. The meeting will let us discuss reoccurring themes that are unique to those caring for a child with life-limiting or life-threatening condition and the overall impact on the services provided. While this will not be a space to discuss individual cases, by sharing best practice and organisational procedures we hope to strengthen links and unite this small but important part of the sector.

Programme

This first meeting will provide an opportunity to get to know the charity helplines landscape and agree some terms of reference for the group.

We will also be looking at how best to record outcomes for our helplines.

Audience

Staff and volunteers who work directly on a helpline as well as managers from charity organisations that are members of Together for Short Lives. This forum isn’t intended for clinical advice or referral helpline providers.
