We are thrilled to announce that Webhelp has chosen Together for Short Lives as their Charity of the Year for 2019, aiming to raise £30,000 for local children’s hospices.
Children’s hospice services are invaluable for families caring for a seriously ill child. They provide vital care including play therapy, pain management, short breaks, sibling and parent support groups, and end of life care. Webhelp’s commitment to supporting children’s hospices will help to fund this life-changing care for children and families in the communities in which their colleagues live and work.
Webhelp’s passion to create a vibrant, healthy and engaging environment for their colleagues to work in will help to create an exciting year of fundraising ahead, that above all will support families to make the most of every moment together and create memories that will last a lifetime.
Webhelp’s 12 customer experience centres across the UK will support seriously ill children and their families throughout 2019 by raising vital funds for Together for Short Lives and four local children’s hospices: Bluebell Wood, Ty Hafan, Rainbows and Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS). Each of Webhelp’s offices will be twinned with their local children’s hospice, so that funds raised by staff will go directly toward supporting children and families in their own communities.
Andy Fletcher, CEO at Together for Short Lives said:
“We are thrilled to be named as Webhelp’s new charity partner. Together for Short Lives works to ensure that seriously ill children and their families can make the most of every moment they have together, whether that’s for years, months or only hours. I know that Webhelp will help us make a huge difference for these families by supporting children’s hospices local to each of your 12 UK sites. I’m looking forward to working together to help change lives for the better.”
David Turner, Chief Executive Officer, Webhelp UK commented:
“Webhelp is deeply honoured to support the incredible work of Together for Short Lives, as our Charity of the Year 2019. The charity strives to make every moment count for the children and families it cares for, and it’s a sentiment we really believe in at Webhelp. Our people are inspired to make this their most successful year of fundraising yet.”
