Are you a Downton Abbey fan? Would you like to be in with the chance of owning actual props, costumes or set pieces from the TV show itself? Or how about viewing these items up close and in-person? If so, then we have a once in a lifetime opportunity for you…
It’s been 15 years since audiences first met the aristocratic Crawley family and their domestic staff. Now, after running for six seasons, and with a third and final film about to hit the big screen this September, the landmark series is set to bid a final goodbye. But before the doors of Downton close for good, world-renowned auction Bonhams is holding a farewell exhibition and auction of props, costumes, and set pieces from across the series.
We’re thrilled to announce that Carnival Films will be generously donating their proceeds from the auction to Together for Short Lives! Every item sold will help provide vital care and support to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
The world of Downton Abbey is beloved around the globe for its rich, timeless storytelling. These iconic set items hold a special place in that history, and we are proud to see them help support the vital work of Together for Short Lives
Gareth Neame - Downton Abbey Executive Producer

The auction includes a remarkable range of pieces from the Grantham family car to Dame Maggie Smith’s walking cane (as Violet Crawley), the wedding dress worn by Michelle Dockery (as Lady Mary) for her first marriage to Matthew Crawley, and the iconic Downton Abbey Bell Wall. With more than 260 items available it represents a really unique collection; including hats, shoes, letters and furniture, with starting bids from as little as £10. There are opportunities for collectors and fans alike to snap up items that go under the hammer in this special auction.
Alongside the auction, a special exhibition will take place at Bonhams, London to view the props and costumes. This special exhibition and auction will give Downton fans from all over the world a chance to relive it in person and see the work that went into creating these incredible props and costumes for the show, as well as possibly even owning a little piece of Downton themselves.
Entry is free and open to all at: Bonhams London, New Bond Street, 101 New Bond Street, London, W1S 1SR.
The auction and exhibition will go live on 18 August and run until 16 September.
The Downton Abbey series are produced by Carnival Films, which is part of Universal International Studios and a division of Universal Studio Group. We are so grateful that Carnival Films has generously chosen to donate their proceeds from the auction to Together for Short Lives. Every pound raised will go towards our work supporting seriously ill children and their families.
