The Great North Run

Join us in running one of the UK’s most iconic half marathons, The Great North Run, and help to raise vital funds for Together for Short Lives and the seriously ill children we are support across the UK.

Starting in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, this 13.1 mile route takes runners through the city centre towards the River Tyne where thousands of runners will cross over the iconic Tyne Bridge. The route, lined by thousands of supporters, leads you to South Shields where you’ll be rewarded with the most beautiful sea view at the top of Prince Edward Road. From that point, you’ll make your way over the finish line with the huge crowd singing your praises and cheering you on to victory.
