Together for Short Lives Charter

The Together for Short Lives charter focuses on the types of information and support Together for Short Lives believes families should expect to receive. It emphasises the importance of choice for families, and encourages a joined up approach from all services and professionals involved in the care of children and families.
The ten statements set out in the charter are general principles that Together for Short Lives believes all organisations working in children’s palliative care and disability sectors, as well as complex care services and acute settings will support.
You can download the Charter in a number of different languages, and the ten principles of the charter are also available in poster form. By displaying the charter, services will be publicly showing their commitment to these core principles, and will be sending a clear message to the families they work with.
