Are you passionate about improving the lives of children with life-limiting conditions and their families?

Together for Short Lives is seeking new members to join our Advisory Council — a group that brings together people with professional expertise and lived experience to shape our work and the wider children’s palliative care sector.

We are particularly keen to hear from people with a range of experiences, including these priority areas: – Social Care, Condition Specific Charities, Young Adults with Lived Experience, Parent/Carer Representatives with Lived Experience, Psychology, Policy and Public Affairs, Research, Nursing, Representation from Wales and Northern Ireland.

NB: whilst we are only looking to recruit one Children’s hospice representative, we are happy to hear from the broader workforce to represent their speciality.

What’s involved:

  • Attend three meetings a year (online and in person)
  • Share your insights to guide our strategy and priorities
  • Represent and connect with others in your community or profession
  • Help ensure children and families are at the heart of our work
  • We’re looking for people from across the UK, from all backgrounds and experiences. Support is available to help everyone participate fully.
