Together for Short Lives is a charity that makes sure seriously ill children and their families get the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. We also speak up to government leaders and decision-makers to help make sure families have access to good support when they need it.
We’re looking to appoint two trustees with clinical and lived experience. As a trustee, you’ll help guide the future of our charity, bringing your skills and experience to help shape the next chapter of our work.
We’re looking for people who are passionate about helping children and families. You’ll have experience making plans and strategies, and understand the important role trustees play in running charities. We welcome people from all walks of life and want to hear from professionals with different backgrounds.
We’re especially keen to hear from individuals who have personal experience, or clinical experience with children’s palliative care. Your insight can help us better understand what families face and improve the care they receive.
Being a trustee is a volunteer role. You won’t be paid, but we do cover reasonable expenses. Trustees are appointed for three years, with the potential to be reappointed for a further three years.
As a charity supporting seriously ill children and vulnerable adults, all trustee appointments are subject to a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
