Trustees with finance and commercial experience, including a potential future Treasurer
Together for Short Lives is here to ensure every child, and their family, has high quality children’s palliative and end of life care, when and where they need it. We create change by working with families, professionals and services and influence policy makers and commissioners to ensure that children and families get the support they need. We have a bold ambitious ten-year vision and strategy to improve access to children’s palliative care and its quality and sustainability which families can rely on.
We are looking to appoint two trustees to join our Board at a very exciting time of growth and change. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the next phase of the charity’s development.
First and foremost, you will have a commitment to improving the lives of children and families and enthusiasm for our work. You will have experience of developing strategies and plans and understand the role of trustees in the governance of charities. We are looking to recruit new trustees with diverse backgrounds with professional experience gained in finance or commercial sectors. Ideally, we would like one of these appointments will take up the Treasurer role when the current Treasurer’s term ends in 2025.
Trustee appointments are made for an initial term of three years, with the opportunity for a further term of three years. This is a voluntary unpaid role, with reasonable expenses paid.
