Journey for Men: Supporting men through grief and loss
Recognising that the health and social care profession is a heavily female dominated environment, this conference is aimed at raising awareness and promoting a better understanding of men’s emotional needs. Enabling professionals to provide meaningful and appropriate bereavement support and improving communication with men and their families at the most difficult and challenging times.
Experts in their field will share current research and evidence-based practice, with the focus on providing proven tools of engagement enabling men to express how they feel.
About the day
The day will be hosted by Kev Benson Senior Counsellor at The Donna Louise hospice for children and young people.
Guest speaker will be James Hawes MBACP (Accred) Psychotherapist| Trainer| School Counsellor Anger Management Consultant.
During the day, the audience will be invited to ask questions and share their experiences.
We will include the voices of pre and post bereaved families whose experience is important in helping professionals to understand and meet their needs.
