Hobbycraft

Together for Short Lives was delighted to be chosen as Hobbycraft’s first Charity of the Year in 2012. Based on our shared belief in the power of art and crafts to improve lives and encourage families to spend time together, the partnership is now in its tenth year and has raised over £2.2 million. Hobbycraft staff have engaged right across the business and been inspired to exceed all expectations with their fundraising.

What we’ve achieved

We’ve enjoyed a fantastic partnership with Hobbycraft, and have raised over £2,200,000 to date. Teams from Hobbycraft have completed yearly bespoke challenge events including the Coast to Coast Cycle, Dales Way Trek, Tarka Trail, Two Moors Way and The South Downs.

For Christmas 2019, Hobbycraft created an amazing festive film celebrating all the ways that their colleagues and customers have helped to #MakeADifference for Together for Short Lives and children’s hospices across the UK. From donations at the till, proceeds from their Shine Together ceramic star and fundraising workshops in store, to charity walks, bake sales and more, we’ve seen their crafting community getting involved in a host of creative ways.

The film features three of the children’s hospices that Hobbycraft support – Ty Hafan, Children’s Hospice South West and Julia’s House.
