Royal Mail’s first class Christmas lunch for hospices

News and comment

We’re delighted to have the support of Royal Mail this Christmas. The postal service has generously donated £25,000 to Together for Short Lives to pay for Christmas lunches in hospices across the UK.

The money will give families caring for a seriously ill child the chance to celebrate Christmas and spend precious time together during the festive season.

We’re really pleased to be supporting Together for Short Lives and the valuable work they do. We hope our donation will make a real difference to families this Christmas, and allow them to have an enjoyable day, while being looked after by the great team at the hospice.

Lily Heinemann, Head of Corporate Responsibility and Community Investment for Royal Mail Group

Steve Ballantyne, Director of Fundraising at Together for Short Lives, said: “We are delighted to receive such a kind donation from Royal Mail. The funding will help families caring for a seriously ill child the chance to enjoy the festive celebrations and spend time together as a family.”
