Polly Shute joined the team as Executive Director of Fundraising in July 2017. She is responsible for developing the fundraising strategy for Together for Short Lives and the National Fundraising Scheme.
Polly worked in marketing before transitioning to senior fundraising roles in the charity sector where she quickly built up a successful career. She was Fundraising and Communications Director at leading youth charity, vinspired, before setting up her own consultancy last summer. Prior to vinspired, Polly was Fundraising Project and Campaign Director at the British Heart Foundation where she led on mass participation development, tripling income on an existing product and successfully launching a new product which broke all its sign up and income targets in its launch year. In 2014 she won the Institute of Fundraising Innovation of the year award. Polly is also a very active member of Pride in London and has been responsible for doubling Pride’s income in the last two years. Before joining the charity sector, Polly held senior roles in product and brand marketing for retailers and leisure groups including Whitbread, Sainsbury’s, WHSmiths, Dixon Store Groups and Wickes.
