Review of palliative care for children and young adults in Thames Valley

The purpose of this review is to provide an objective overview of palliative care need and age-appropriate provision
for 0-39 year olds in the Thames Valley region and to make recommendations that can inform service developments.
Whilst the study was instigated by Helen & Douglas House as an input to the charity’s strategic planning (2012-16),
it has been conducted in a spirit of openness and cooperation with other organisations. It is hoped that the findings
and recommendations will be of benefit in shaping the provision of services across the region.
